Guided Mountain Hike in the Julian Alps
The ibexes at the foot of Jof di Fuart present themselves in all their facets, from majestic to endearingly calm. Once eradicated throughout the Alps, the species has found a new home in the Julian Alps. At dawn, we set out to visit them, along with chamois and the many marmots that inhabit this spectacular region. With a bit of luck, we may also spot some griffon vultures gliding through the impressive Jof di Fuart massif, the third-highest mountain in the Julian Alps.
Wildlife biologist Andreas accompanies the tour and offers fascinating insights into the lives of the animals. Mountain hiking guide Bettina ensures that we stay on the right path and reach our destination safely.
Alternative for Persistent Hikers
The tour can also be booked with an extended climb. In total, a vertical distance of around 900 meters must be completed in approximately 2.5 hours.
