Guided Mountain Hike in the Schütt
The Schütt Landslide Area impresses with its unique flora and fauna. The story goes that in 1348 the Dobratsch mountain was shaken so badly by a violent earthquake that half of its original size spilled into the valleys. The dramatic rock formations in the forests still bear witness to this today.
We will show you hidden places away from the well-known hiking trails and are sure to discover fascinating animals, from butterflies and beetles to birds and snakes. Numerous species of butterflies and reptiles feel very comfortable in this exceptional area. During the hike, wildlife biologist Andreas explains how nature works and introduces you to Carinthian wildlife. As a local and mountain hiking guide, Bettina ensures that we keep on track and return safely.
