Programme *

Day 1: Arrival & First Observations
Arrival at Madrid Airport, where we will welcome you. Even during the approximately 2½-hour drive southwest towards Extremadura, there will be numerous birdwatching opportunities along the route. After settling into our comfortable accommodation in Extremadura, there will still be time for initial discoveries in the surrounding area.

Days 2 to 5: Birdwatching in All Its Diversity
Over four full days, we will explore a variety of habitats in the region: expansive dehesas, barren steppes, river meadows, rocky cliffs, and mountain ranges. We will be out at different times of day to align with bird activity patterns and maximise our chances of spotting as many species as possible.

Of course, there will also be time to soak up the region’s unique atmosphere and enjoy its delicious local food and drink.

Day 6: Return Journey or Extended Stay in Madrid
On the final day, we head back to Madrid. Depending on your plans, the trip will either conclude at the airport or in the city itself for those who wish to extend their stay. Madrid offers a perfect opportunity for a relaxing conclusion: stroll through the historic centre, enjoy tapas, or admire masterpieces at the Prado Museum.

All ground transportation during the programme is included.

All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
