Expert-Guided Field Trip
Where the River Po flows into the sea, one of the most enchanting landscapes in northern Italy has formed. Here, human activity and nature appear to coexist in harmony. The Po Delta is a paradise for numerous bird species. Among the more than 370 species of nesting, migratory, and wintering birds, there are various herons, egrets, ducks, terns, grebes, birds of prey, as well as wading birds and oystercatchers, many of which have vanished from other parts of Italy. We will endeavour to spot as many species as possible, both on foot and by boat, and may even catch sight of the flamingos that inhabit the area.
