A few words about
Andreas, a wildlife biologist and certified consultant for organic farming & forestry, has been actively involved with animals, wildlife, and zoos since the late 1980s, before being given the chance to turn an unremarkable game park into one of Austria’s major zoos. A zoological facility soon internationally recognized, which Andreas managed and advanced for over a decade.
With over 30 years of professional experience in zoo management, husbandry, animal care, animal transport, and trouble-shooting, Andreas works as a consultant, expert and advisor on a national and international level. For several years Andreas represented Austria at CITES CoPs and Animals Committee meetings, leading the development of the CITES non-air transport guidelines for wild animals and plants. Today Andreas represents the World Association of Zoos & Aquariums at CITES and is a member of the IATA LAPB Advisory Panel.
Andreas has taught wildlife ecology at the University of Graz for twenty years, is a sought-after speaker and consultant who passes on his experience and expertise to zoological institutions, organizations, NGOs, authorities, and people who care at home and abroad .
