Guided Moutain Hike to Monte Prat

A sense of awe, wildness, and a slight shiver, many people experience this at the sight of vultures. On a hike around Monte Prat you will encounter these magnificent birds up close. The Riserva Naturale Regionale del Lago di Cornino is home to around 300 griffon vultures. With a wingspan of up to three metres, these birds can soar at altitudes of up to 3,000 metres. Yet they remain almost always faithful to their home, Monte Prat. Perhaps they are drawn to its unique location, which offers an unobstructed view all the way to the sea, just before San Daniele.

Wildlife biologist Andreas will accompany the hike, providing fascinating insights into the lives of these birds, while mountain guide Bettina ensures the group stays on course and reaches the destination safely.
